Evan Dimas Targets SEA Games Gold to Redeem Asian Cup Failure
U-22 national team midfielder Evan Dimas Darmono is looking forward to the 2017 SEA Games in Malaysia. He also announced the target of winning gold medals at the biennial event.
In football, Indonesia is joined in Group B with Thailand, Philippines, Timor Leste, Vietnam and Cambodia. In the first game, Tuesday (15/08/2017) afternoon WIB, Red and White squad will fight Thailand at Shah Alam Stadium.
“We are ready, my friends and I can not wait to compete in the SEA Games,” Evan told Bolasport.com on Friday (08/11/2017).
“Our target is certainly a gold medal, if not now, whenever,” said the Bhayangkara FC player.
Evan also eager to make the SEA Games event as a repayment of the failure of U-22 Indonesia national team to qualify for the U-23 Asia Cup 2018 some time ago.
U-22 national team is scheduled to depart to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Saturday (12/08/2017). A total of 20 + 1 players will be trafficked coach Luis Milla.
Currently, a total of 25 players follow the training camp in Karawaci, Tangerang. That is, four players will be crossed out before departure.
